The town of Windsor is another place that is considered an unincorporated community. The place can be found in Alachua County in Florida, United States. Although at first, it may seem that there are not many things to do in Windsor, it is actually a great, attractive place. Back in the day, in the year 1846, the town of Windsor was settled and named after the English cotton planters within the community.

After some time, there were new residents settling from both northern and southern states because of the all-time new development of citrus culture in the area. By the end of the Reconstruction era, Windsor was prospering, and in 1884 a post office was established. Then, in the 1890s the town boasted a doctor, three stores, a real estate office, a grist mill, two sawmills, and factories producing boxes, cedar baskets, and fertilizer.

One of the most notable things about the town is its annual Zucchini Festival which is held every May. It is an annual event, held in many different locations, to celebrate the zucchini and its harvest. Zucchini festivals are usually held in the fall, when zucchini is abundant and at the peak of harvest.
